That is a good indication of looking elsewhere. If you have problems with the interviewing process, you are likely to find more problems after getting the job. Companies with rigid structures do things strictly by the rules which often set by people with no common sense. I have seen plenty of people with all sorts of credentials and even experience can't get things done the right way, either because of the lack of common sense or poor attitudes. It makes you wonder how they got the jobs.
