According to the specs from Oracle, The maximum SGA on 32-bit Oracle residing on 64-bit HP-UX is 1.75 GB. The maximum SGA on 32-bit HP-UX is 1.75 GB for *all instances*, unless you use memory windowing (described in the link provided). Disappointing, but another incentive to move to 64-bit computing.
