Howmuch Java reqd to support Oracle8i..

Dear list,



I would like to know howmuch java knowledge is required for a DBA to 
support Oracle8i and also to help the Java programmers. We have just 
upgraded some databases to oracle 8.1.5 and planning to upgrade all the 
remaining databases in the near future.
