The first thing to learn would be OS level commands (like loadjava), then the techniques for PL/SQL and Java integration (see the article in Oracle magazine), and how to use SQLJ. Then, if you've got time, the JDBC API. And, if you're feeling masochistic, JCorba and IIOP :0)
