Zero suppression

Zero Suppression is a technique used to replace leading zeroes with spaces in numeric data for display purposes.

Examples:

  • 00000123 will be displayed as 123
  • 1.230000 will be displayed as 1.23
  • 0012.300 will be displayed as 12.3
