WORM (Write Once, Read Many) refers to computer storage media that can be written to once, but read from multiple times (i.e., Read Only media). WORM media are useful for the long term storage of archived data.

Examples of such storage media are: CD-R, DVD-R and PROMs (programmable read-only memory).
