Oracle PowerBrowser was a web browser created by Oracle Corporation in 1996. It could be deployed on Windows 3.x, Windows 95 and Windows NT computers. 16-bit and 32-bit versions were made available.
Support status
PowerBrowser has been discontinued and is not longer available.
Features
PoweBrowser offered the following features:
- act as a web server allowing users to host web pages on their personal computers
- offer support for both JavaScript and Basic scripting
- support for third-party applications called Network Loadable Objects (NLOs)
- easy-to-use Database Wizard that helps users create database-enabled Web applications
- support for both SSL 2.0 and 3.0
