Just because whatever table existed under SYSTEM.SYSUSERS is not an Oracle base table does not mean that the table is not required by some local application. You might want to check to see what exports of your test database exist and potentially recovery the table from there before the export dump file is removed because it is old.

Also just because the table has the same name a MS SQL Server base table does not mean this table has any relationship to something that was on a SQL Server system. I have seen developers create or try to create tables with names like this and had to work with third-party applications that come with usernames like SYSADMIN.

Recover the table if you can then research what it is, what it used for, who it belongs to, and if it can be dropped. IMHO -- Mark D Powell -- Received on Fri Jan 07 2005 - 19:18:15 CST
