Thanks for your good ideas Van. It looks like you are right on target because, since I last posted, I received an email from Oracle technical support (they finally responded to my inquiry) telling me that I need the 3.3.1.2.4 version of the installer, which I have just downloaded from their ftp site. It's too late in the day for me to try it now, so I will try it tomorrow and let you know how it goes. Thank You guru!
