I'm a DBA . I write code. I hate patching, backups, restores but work closely with Product teams and Developers and those people who *use *the databases that we stand up. Can I do the patching? Absolutely. Do I loathe it? Pretty much. I enjoy the camaraderie of working, *collaborating, *with those that *use *the database for the business.
