No problems there, that is the new way of doing things. Even Exadata X7-2 is hyperconverged.  The database nodes are no longer physical, they are virtual, using OVM. So, essentially, Nutanix is approximately the same thing as Exadata. As far as the licensing is concerned, that depends on the deal that your equipment manufacturer has with Oracle Corp. As far as Nutanix is concerned, I heard that the deal is good and that the prices are not exorbitant. However, I am by no means a licensing specialist, so you shouldn't trust me. I believe that Nial Litchfield and Tim Gorman know much more about licensing than me.
