Home -> Community -> Mailing Lists -> Oracle-L -> RMAN Windows question
I have RMAN backups of a production Win 2000 database. I want to test
recovery of this database on a different Win 2000 server.
How do I prepare the server so that I can startup nomount the instance that I will use for recovery? Knowing that each instance requires a Windows service, I used the DBCA to create a new database (and instance); my thought was to shut it down, blow away the db files, and begin my recovery. Is there another way?
Thanks,
Paul Baumgartel
