system requirements for dbms_job

Can anyone tell me whether using dbms_job to schedule regular tasks requires
additional system resources, such as memory and whether there is any impact
on tuning issues(redo logs etc) simply from using dbms_job(ignoring the
transactions that the scheduled task actually undertakes)



Platform is Oracle 8.0.5 on AIX
