Home -> Community -> Mailing Lists -> Oracle-L -> Re: system requirements for dbms_job
this package uses SNP backruound proceses . These proceses are
different from Oracle Bacround prosesses. Becouse , they don't give
any error which cause intance failure when they run into any error.
They are run periodically by oracle and natuarally , these process
use memory while they are runnig. You must set two parameter in
init.ora file . JOB_QUEUE_PROCESSES and JOB_QUEUE_INTERVAL .
JOB_QUEUE_PROCESSES decribes how many SNP process will be exist and
other one describes time interval beetween wake-ups for the
SNP background processes as second .
