The question was running Unix command from 4.5 on Windows.

I highly recommend using SQL*Operator from ISA. From Forms, you simply save the job you want to run to the database. SQL*Operator has processes out there that checks to see if it has anything to do and then runs it. SQL*Operator lives on the Unix Box. We are running all our reports and procedures this way, so we don't have hardly any Unix scripts.
