This must have happened after my tenure at Commvault. I didn't know that they can do that. Thank you very much for the info. They are still using rman convert but I didn't know that they have the workflow ready for that. I officially surrender the title of the group expert for Commvault to you.

Shareplex is a great replication tool, roughly at the half of the price of OGG. I did a pilot project as a consultant and it's a great tool.
