I asked my manager if I can go, maybe I can present a paper.
Now I just have to decide what topic to present on.
I don't want to do something that is on the bleeding edge, I want to do something that would be useful to the largest number of people.
I leave the marketing to Oracle Corp., they know the newer products best it seems to me. I am not a concepts person, I don't go by the product descriptions and features, I go by practical experience. (aka Trial by Fire)
Right now we are still planning / testing a migration to 9iAS 9.0.2. on Windows (I know, no comments please), maybe I can do a paper on how to install, configure, secure, and manage 9iAS effectively.
If you have any other suggestions, don't hesitate to mention them -- what would be most useful to you at your site?
Do I ever want to go to this conference!
Patrice.
