If they'd take the time to actually learn those methods many of which display significant thought on the part of the originators, if not anybody else, I might not object so much. Most of the so-called engineers would rather memorize, parrot and literalize. To be fair, when it comes to physics, that's pretty much the same for most motorcycle mechanics I've met, except for Samson, my sister's boyfriend who went shirtless in the canuck winter, was definitely an individual and drove father to distraction. If he's still alive, I hope he never gets near my scooters. So, I think I'm in favour of tossing partial methodoligies into the bin.
