If this the only aspect where you consider RM lacks solid abstract
foundations in mathematics, then it is probable that you lack
sufficient knowledge or RM theory. Among all subjects, View
updatability is not at all off boundaries of RM. In fact it is one of
the better defined concepts in RM.
