All this talk of natural reminded me of a day in class of what has to be one of the funniest and best high-school calculus teachers. Read the following (followin') in your best Southern US accent and make sure to pause at the ...'s for a full two seconds.
Q: Mr. Chandler, what's the difference between a natural number and whole number?
A:
Alrighhhht. Ya gotch yer nat'ral numbers.
(counting on his fingers)

And then ya got the whohhhhhhle numbas.
That's zero ... one ... two ... FIIIVE!
Now I knowwwww whatch y'all are thinkin'. Why isn't zero a nat'ra numba?
