If you try only once to implement the way DB tries to sample IO statistics in the statspack schema, and try to give a *fair* judgement of his 'solution', you will know why:
DB has a korn shell script set up a sqlplus session, insert *1* record, and disconnect, for *every individual record* Surely you are in the same league: you have been promoting and posting crap solutions here from the day you started posting here.
