Home -> Community -> Usenet -> c.d.o.server -> RAC and firewire project.....
For those of you who have built it, please lend a hand. I'm building
a 2 node 10.2 RAC cluster on RHEL4(2.6.9-22). I can't get the damn
firewire to work in shared mode.
I have the following set:
/etc/modprobe.conf to options sbp2 serialize_io=1 exclusive_login=0.
I have a maxtor onetouch II, 200GB.
node a firewire card: SIIG 3port
node b firewire card: DYNEX 3port
Everytime I reboot, the first node up, get the correct dmesg|grep sbp output. The second nodes dmesg output is:
[root_at_red ~]# dmesg|grep sbp
sbp2: $Rev: 1265 $ Ben Collins <bcollins_at_debian.org>
ieee1394: sbp2: Driver forced to serialize I/O (serialize_io = 1) ieee1394: sbp2: Maximum concurrent logins supported: 2 ieee1394: sbp2: Number of active logins: 0 ieee1394: sbp2: Logged into SBP-2 device ieee1394: sbp2: Error reconnecting to SBP-2 device - reconnect failed ieee1394: sbp2: Logged out of SBP-2 device ieee1394: sbp2: Maximum concurrent logins supported: 2 ieee1394: sbp2: Number of active logins: 0 ieee1394: sbp2: Logged into SBP-2 device
Any ideas on this are greatly appreciated,
