Hi Charles.
Thanks for your reply.
Everything is running on the same machine, so the loopback ( being equal to localhost) is in the trusted zone. Unfortunately trying to logon using the database home page just results in it returning to the database home page without presenting me with an error. The only indication I get is from ZoneAlarm telling me that Cookies where denied. That's how I found I had to change the standard setting I have for ZoneAlarm to allowing everything ( See above in cookies etc). To me this sound absurd since those settings are there for the Internet and NOT for the trusted zone.

To test something I went out on a limb and gave all oracle related programs I could find in the program tab all rights possible (access and server in trusted and internet). Rebooted and tried again. No difference.
