Given that 'noon' is defined as the sun being overhead, then no. However it is midnight here at GMT noon (given standard time).

What pisses me off is when Americans and English don't realise that when they are having their morning tea and clearing their mail boxes they 'can't imagine it being the middle of the night' and pick up the phone to give me a personal call - so much nicer than impersonal replies.
