Totally agree with these comments!

It does seem like an application would be effected by an out of sync clock, but Oracle doesn't really care (+- 15min.). I agree keeping the clocks as close to sync is important for the reasons mentioned (application issues). But my main concern was that oracle was using the clocks, and if that was the case, then it would seem the clocks would have to be exact (which is just not possible).

Running some kind network time sync is the way to go to keep the clocks as close as possible. We are running a clock sync every hour!
