Thanks I skimmed thru it real quick, will read it later (again).

As I understand it, hp has/is changing their story about many (all?) of the improvements planned for 11 v3. Clustering technology, for example, that they acquired from the DEC Tru64 unix code, were originally going to be provided/merged into hpux 11 v3.

As far as that goes, the latest announcement is that instead of doing all the hard work of integrating the clustering software into hpux, that instead, for people that have also licensed service guard, the veritas clustering technology will be bundled with service guard.

That's really the limit to what I know about 11 v3. There's probably a whole bunch of other "changes" to the original vision of 11 v3 ... for all I know maybe the whole project has been canned? Received on Fri Jan 07 2005 - 07:42:39 CST
