Don't know that anyone can comment on that other than Mark and he may not be able to comment for obvious reasons. But I can tell you that I am currently looking at migrating three production systems from Solaris to Linux. Though the hardware may remain Sun.

Well I'll say it ... AIX 5L is probably the best *NIX O/S on the market.

With Oracle my first choice, if budget wasn't a concern would be IBM hardware with AIX 5L. But bring in budget considerations and I immediately start looking at Dell or Compaq/HP 1U boxes with RedHat Linux.
