Sure, you could do this. But, why would ever want to? If I understand your question, you want to have an oracle instance that's failed continue on another system with with a different set of data. Why? When the failed system came back, you'd have to databases that are totally out of sync.

Unless the database is read-only, I don't see a reason to do this.
