LOL! I mean that somewhere in this thread it got lost that I got this semaphore message after rebooting. Years ago I had a bizarro Centronics interface on a bizarro unix with a bizarro print spooler that would occassionally create a defunct process, which process would magically reappear as defunct after rebooting. So I'm a pollyanna and will believe anything. Sometimes.

No flash mem on this box, it's pushed way under the corner desk, a hassle just to push reset.
