Norman, I'll throw something out, if I'm wrong I'll drop a book on my head for mentioning it. But as far as the PATH goes you've made sure that the compiler that you would like to use is higher up in the PATH list than say any other one? Sorry if I just wasted your time, but just though I would throw it out there.
