How to make a copy of database on the same linux

Hi All,



    I would like to ask how to make a copy of database on the same linux ? I
would like to use hot backup !! As i know i need to create a database under
Archive mode and i need to execute some command first then i can backup the
physical files of the database.



    My platform is Linux 7.1 and Oracle 9.0.1. Please help!!
