Hi Marc,
ok, technically, you got me bang to rights there !
But, on my unix servers, a linefeed acts like a CR/LF pair, unlike
MSDOS/WINDOWS which needs both.
In fact, My Sinclair QL uses LF as CR/LF as well - so it can't be that
bad :o)
If I spool CHR(13) on a Unix box, I don't get carriage retrurns, I just get a 'blob' in the output, but if I spool CHR(10) then I get what I need.

CHR(10) is in fact a linefeed :-)
