But 9i doesn't run on Solaris Intel. Future-proofing requires a version
that runs on a readily availble O/S. You'll be fine on Windows. Forget
what the rest of the world runs on: Oracle runs similarly on all platforms
(just more reliably on some than on others ;-) ...just get a version that
you are happy with and can learn with.
