Hi ORACLE-Freaks,



can anybody tell me what happens inside an ORACLE Database (SQL Area,
RedoLog, Rollback Segment) when I try to update a column with the same value
the column had before?


Does ORACLE remember the old value although the update statement contains
the same value?
