1.Oracle8i server is also called workgroup server meant for small organizations with few nodes.Oracle 8i server is pricing is cheap.Oracle 8i server doesnt have "ADVANCED MULTIMASTER REPLICATION".

2.Oracle 8i enterprise edition is the ultimate in its class and has all features built in.This is meant for big enterprise with VLDB'S , distributed and replicated databases.
