Duplicate Database on same sever for testing

I am a newbie to the oracle scene but have a client who trying to create
a duplicate database for testing purposes.  He tried exporting a dump
file and the using import to create the duplicate but some tables were
corrupted.



He is using 7.3.4 on NT4 and is trying to create the duplicate on the
same server.
