Apache+php on Linux to Oracle+NT

I'm trying to find a simple lightweight solution to connect our apache web server running mod_php to an NT Oracle805 Database. So far the only solution seems to be to install a full 400MB of oracle on the web server machine. Ideally i would just like to be able to point my php code to one of our Oracle enabled NT machines and save me a lot of hassle (and money) installing oracle for linux.
