Oracle 8i and MS Access 2000?

I'm using an Access 2000 Jet database (don't ask) with a Java-application. I'm hitting so many bugs in the JDBC/ODBC-bridge that I'm considering moving the data to Oracle 8i.

How well will my Access 2000 application work with Oracle 8i? Should I expect lots of bugs and problems, or should it be a smooth migration?
