Export and Import??!!

Box A: Oracle 8i for Solaris
Box B: Oracle 8.0.5 for Linux (RedHat)

I try to export a table from Box A, then import to Box B. In my 'exp' and 'imp' command I didn't assign the 'buffer' option. But the 'exp' is OK and the 'imp' failed, oralce compalins that 'SQL statement exceed buffer size'.

But when I import to another Solairs Box(Oracle 8i)bu using the same export file (same option in 'imp' command as used in Linux), it's OK!

Seems Linux and Solaris have some problems? Or Oracle 8i and Oracle 8.0.5?

Any suggestion? Thanks a lot!!!
