Home -> Community -> Usenet -> c.d.o.server -> shutdown immediate fails
I'm running ORACLE 7.3.2 on solaris 2.5.1, and sometimes it's impossible to
do a shutdown immediate of the database. In alert.log, the message 'Waiting
for active calls to complete' is printed, but the database never shutdown.
ORACLE support said that this is a problem with pmon that can't shutdown, but they gave me no workaround for that ( except shutdown abort ), because they can't reproduce the problem, and I can't reproduce it systematically on my side.
Does anybody has the same problem ? If you find a Workaround ( except moving to 7.3.3 ) please let me know.
Thanks.
Patrick.
