We are developing cross platform with DB2 on AIX, Oracle on DEC, and in the future Adabas on Linux and maybe DB2 on NT. Until now we have some applications on AIX with DB2 realized with Tcl and ODBC. DB2 comes with ODBC on AIX and other clients. Therefore it would be nice to have one Tcl program running on many platforms. The combination AIX/DB2/Tcl is working fine! I'm not a friend of Microsoft, but ODBC does the job for us.
