incorrect next extents

Hello,

When extending tables/indexes the next extent size specified in the create statement is ignored. For ex.

create index ... initial 5M next 1M...

The object extended to 3 extents and the values reported from dba_extents for extent_id and bytes are
0 5M
1 16k
2 16k

The information is correct in the dba_indexes(tables) views (5M, 1M)

Platform
Alpha openvms 7.1
Oracle v7.3.2.3.2
