We have the same problem on NT, with 7.3.3. Oracle support tell us that
we have to upgrade to 7.3.4 and then apply a patch before it will be
fixed.
In the meantime we are stopping the NT Service (daemon, NLM) after
shutting down the database and before the tape backup. It is (for now)
the only safe way.
Unload those NLM's!
