Using NT Authentication

I have just installed Oracle 8 on a Windows NT4.0 server. I would like to use NT authentication for accessing Oracle. I have done the following:
* sqlnet.authentication_services = (NTS) in sqlnet.ora

os_authent_prefix = "" in initorcl.ora
remote_login_password = none in initorcl.ora
remote_os_authent = true in initorcl.ora
set registry value hkey_local_machine\software\oracle\osauth_prefix_domain = true (rwg_expand_sz)
set registry value hkey_local_machine\software\oracle\home0\osauth_prefix_domain = true (rwg_expand_sz)
create user "domain\user" identified externally;
grant connect to "domain\user";
grant resource to "domain\user";

I start svrmgr30 and connect /@instance_name and get the message "ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied".

Any help would be appreciated.
