Oracle Intelligent Agent Patch 8.0.4.1.1

I'm running Oracle8 server on an NT. I recently installed the OIA patch 8.0.4.1.1 and as soon as I restarted the machine, I started getting service error messages. The services could not start because of the following error running oracle80.exe:

Oracle80.exe - entry point not found
  entry point - nsevevent could not be located in ns80.dll

I tried to uninstall the patch, but I got some really strange errors about drives etc. So, I reinstalled the patch and figured I go from there.

I'd appreciate any help - hints- or pointers from anyone who has been here before!
