But the problem is - if Sybase, oracle, Informix, Microsoft port their
s/w to
Linux than they may go OUT OF BUSINESS. What it means that US
corporations had
accepted the "Made in Internet" products.
There is another problem coming up -- european countries like Finland,
Germany
and Sweden had developed or developing very good database s/w like
SOLID Server,
Adabas, YardSQL, MySQL for Linux and other unixes.
MySQL - http://www.tcx.se Solid - http://www.solidtech.com Adabas - http://www.adabas.com YardSQL - http://www.yard.de/
It will be a "database wars" between europe and USA. Imagine how much
damage it
will cause to the US economy if Microsoft, Oracle,Informix, sybase
completely go
down.
Now, US is forcefully controlling the world's software market. One
option for
US is to ban the world-wide internet, and stop manufacturing high-speed
computer
network equipments. That will protect US s/w companies.
Problem is - Ultimately "Made in Internet" products will win and emerge victorious. Received on Wed Feb 18 1998 - 00:00:00 CST
