Hi, All

I work in a small shop with a variety of skills. Because of being small I have to wear many hats and am involved in different areas, such as

	Unix System Admin.
	C/Unix Shell programming
	Oracle admin.
	Network management and
	Technical Support

Now that the company has been growing to bigger size and I have to give away some pieces but I get to keep the piece I like to work. I am thinking keeping Oracle Admin to myself and specialize into DBA. Some people told me that DBA is borning even though it gets paid higer. It would be just like a trash man who get paid higer because no body wants to do that kind of job.

Can any DBAs out there give me some feedback on this comments? I am not trying to start a flame, just need some opinions from those experience ones. Does any DBA regret for his/her choice? How do I start a career as DBA?

Please e-mail me 'cause I don't want to miss any of your opinion!!. Thanks in advance
