Home -> Community -> Usenet -> c.d.o.server -> ORA-03123 - network read would block
Hi,
Thanks for all your help with the ORA-03121 error I was having...as it turns out the PATH was not being set to the ORAWIN\BIN or the ORAWIN95\BIN directory (it seems as if our Netware scripts are overwriting the first one or two entries in the PATH. Not sure as to why yet.)
Anyways, I am moving up the Oracle error chain - now I am getting an Oracle ORA-03123 error which is a network read would block error. This error is happening on a Windows '95 machine using SQL*Net v2.1. This error is occurring in a VB 4.0 (16 bit) app when the application tries to perform a SELECT from the Oracle7 DB. The application is using Intersolv ODBC Oracle drivers to go out and perform the SELECT. In the VB module it is kicking up a 3146 error which is a generic ODBC call failed error, but if you go through to the next error in the Error object VB tells you the ORA-03123 error occurred. Does anybody have any ideas on why this error is occuring and how I could get around it?
Thanks,
