Yes. I placed it in the /usr/sbin directory. I've also tried this with a local client (oracle client on same machine as the NSR server) with the same RMAN script and same nsrnmo file, and it worked perfectly; all file names were saved with the correct format
Example,
05/18/04 15:47:09 nsrd: SYS01:Bck<DB_50:526492028:1>.dbf saving to
pool 'WEEKLY' (PN_WEEKLY_000)
05/18/04 15:47:11 nsrd: SYS01:Bck<DB_50:526492028:1>.dbf done saving
to pool 'WEEKLY' (PN_WEEKLY_000) 768 KB
