We are blessed with some PeopleSoft implementors who have told their manager that "all Oracle administration must be done with PeopleTools" including adding of data files, changing extent specs, adding tablespaces, etc. Not knowing a lot about PeopleSoft, this claim seems to have a high BS content as PeopleSoft should not care about data files, etc. What I'm looking for is battle experience with this type of setup to verify / reject the "need" for doing everything in PeopleTools.
